  • What are the employer’s rights under the new Paid Family Leave Law?

    The employer has the right to compel employees to use two weeks of accrued vacation prior to the start of paid family leave insurance. Remember this law does not mandate that the employer grant any leave, nor in any way amend Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), or Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL).
