  • Audit Scheduling Letters Set to Mail in March 2018

Important Message from Employers Group’s Affirmative Action Planning Department:

The OFCCP will be mailing their Audit Scheduling Letter in March 2018.

The Audit Scheduling Letter is a notification that the site location noted on the top of the letter is scheduled for an OFCCP compliance review (audit).

What happens when you receive an Audit Scheduling Letter from the OFCCP?

You have 30 days from the date you receive the letter to submit:

    • Your Current Affirmative Action Plan
    • All 22 items on the itemized listing, including item 19 (compensation data)

We recommend that you alert your top official at your location or corporate office.

That is the person most likely to receive the letter.

Have your 2018 Affirmative Action Plan(s) up to date, including all 22 items on the new scheduling letter.

    1. Put compliant Affirmative Action Plan in place. Do not try to go through an OFCCP audit without professional support.
    2. Conduct meaningful recruiting for protected classes, minorities, females, veterans, and disabled.
    3. Keep applicant tracking systems or manual applicant tracking log up to date
    4. Keep all job posting print screens
    5. Extend Voluntary “Self ID Forms” as early in the applicant process as possible.

When the OFCCP is going to conduct an audit, they will notify you in writing by sending you a scheduling letter for:

    • Compliance Evaluation
    • Compliance Review
    • Compliance Check
    • Pre-Award Review
    • Corporate Management Review

Failure to respond can result in an even more extensive audit, a conciliation agreement, or a consent decree.
