All companies in California with 25 or more regular employees are encouraged to enter.
The two-part assessment process is designed to gather detailed data on each participating company. In Part I, the employer completes a Workplace Assessment questionnaire, and in Part II, employees of the company complete an Employee Satisfaction Survey.

Part I – Workplace Assessment
Each participating company completes Part I. Once registered for the program, you will be directed to the employers’ survey and asked to participate via the Web or paper questionnaire. Ranking is based on blind scoring of responses to questions in nine categories, including work-life balance, training, diversity, pay, turnover, perks and benefits.

Part II – Employee Satisfaction Survey
If, based on rankings from Part I, your company is identified as a semifinalist, Employers Group will contact you for a second round of surveys with a random sample of your employees. Selected employees can participate via the Web or paper, and the survey is available in both English and Spanish. All employee data is submitted anonymously.

Results
Following completion of Parts I and II, semifinalists’ survey results are combined and analyzed to determine the final rankings. Five winners will be selected from each company size category.

All program participants receive a final Score Report and Statewide ranking.

The following additional reports are available, and encouraged, to gain greater insight to your company’s practices and procedures:

Company Comparison Report
A report, detailing company scores and ranking among participating companies with the same employee-size category will be made available to participating companies after the program concludes.

Participants from previous year’s program can also compare their Score Report to prior results for improvement insight going forward.

Strength and Weaknesses Report
An in-depth report on your company’s strengths and weaknesses will be available at the conclusion of the program.  Additionally, Employers Group will send an experienced consultant to meet with you and your team for a personalized evaluation, and give your company an implementation roadmap to make your company even more enviable!
