As Communications and Public Relations Manager, Wendy Taylor oversees EG’s various publications, including two newsletters, web site copy and other forms of written press. She writes original copy and edits copy generated by EG’s internal HR consultants and external experts and authors. In her Public Relations capacity, Wendy handles EG’s media relations, producing press releases about EG to obtain media coverage in newspapers, on television and radio. Additionally, Wendy tracks employer-related legislation to keep members apprised of the goings on in the California Legislature year to year.
Wendy’s background prior to joining EG in 2000, includes 15 years in corporate communications as a publications manager, copywriter, editor and media relations writer . She was manager of communications for eight years at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (the MTA) where she developed newsletters and communication pieces for the public about the Metro Rail Program. Before her stint at the MTA, she was a Public Relations Coordinator at TRW’s Space and Defense Sector in Redondo Beach, CA.
